However, I had my baby exactly 40 weeks and we still have to wake him up. That is also OK and I’ve been told that is also normal. As long as your baby is gaining weight OK and he’s eating regularly ... WebInfants, and especially newborns need to eat every couple hours. If the baby is waking on schedule like that then they’re hungry. If the baby sleeps all night on their own then there is no need to wake them unless they’re oversleeping but you should absolutely be feeding your baby when they wake. I know it’s tough.
