He quickly became known as a dangerous left footed half forward flanker, scoring 45 goals in 1970, his first full year. West Torrens Football Club was an Australian rules football club that competed in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) from 1897 to 1990. In 1991, the club merged with neighbouring Woodville Football Club to form the Woodville-West Torrens Eagles.
