WebDec 9, 2024 · I believe mine also said birch ply on the badge though it's mixed woods of birch and basswood. The vision sensitone snare is great-it was my go to gig snare. The kit is based on Reference with a mix of birch and bass wood (it was discontinued with birch and maple only kits) and different thicknesses of toms (I think they changed that too).
