The passenger side fits nicely and I can get to my plugs. The driver side header would have to be loosened to remove the plugs but they will fit but it's tight. WebJan 9, 2008 · you most definitely do! if you look at the 2 heads, you will notice that the spark plug locations are different. the stock headers will interfere with the plugs on the GT40-Ps. Mac makes a set of the GT-40Ps and so does Ford Racing. I like the Ford ones myself. There might be some modification needed like short plugs, 90 degree wires, or a small dent made on one of the header tubes but you can make most of them work just fine.. WebAug 5, 2011 · The angle of the plugs is so extreme you cannot use regular headers/manifolds. I called fordpowertrain last night.. 550 for their set of tri y headers made for the p swap in vintage mustangs and that was for the non coated set. 1967 Mustang Hardtop - undergoing a built gt40p EFI/t5 swap as we speak.
